Currently, we have 24 scouts registered for summer camp, but there is still time to register at the standard rate of $406. The deadline for registration is April 19 so please fill out the BSA activity form and the Troop permission slip if you are interested in attending. The troop will be attending the 52nd annual camporee at West Point on May 2-4, 2014. There is still room for 4 people to attend (either scouts or adults). I am looking at holding a cooking merit badge campout on Saturday June 8 to Sunday June 9. We would need to meet one evening prior to this campout to go over menu’s. The goal of the meeting and weekend would be to complete requirements 1, 2 3, 4, 5, 7a, 8. Depending on the amount of free time requested we cold also possibly get 6 done. I need to know the interest in this campout. Please be advised that I only want scouts that have finished their 2nd and 1st class cooking requirements. The Troop has secured a spot to attend the 52nd West Point Camporee on the grounds of the US Military Academy at West Point, NY. The camporee is May 2-4, 2014. Attached is the permission slip. Please complete and return to Jeff Swab (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible. THERE IS STILL ROOM FOR 5 (SCOUTS AND ADULTS) TO ATTEND.
Following is the permission slip for the Earth Treks Scout Appreciation Night scheduled for April 12 from 6:30 – 9:00P. Earth Treks is at 1930 Greenspring Drive in Timonium. The cost is $15.00 per climber and this trip is open to family members/friends as well. Advance registration is required and once you are registered, you are responsible for the attendance fees, even if you and/or your registered friends/family are unable to attend the event.
The camp card fundraiser has begun. Camp cards are sold for $5 of which $2.50 goes to your scout account. If you have not received a pack of camp cards and want one please see Ms. Sharon Gardner. Money and unsold cards need to be turned in to Ms. Sharon no later than April 24, 2014. If anyone has a contact for a business that would allow us to sell cards in front of them for an evening or weekend span of time please let Ms. Sharon know.
